There are many ways to help save an animal's life. Adopting, fostering, sponsoring, volunteering, donating, educating, and networking and sharing animals in need are all ways to help. There is not one of these that is more important than another, and it takes all together to work toward a happy ending for every animal at Acres of Love Animal Rescue. Everyone can help to save a life!

Become a Foster Parent

Fostering a pet in your home is the ideal gift to help keep our pets safe and socialized by sharing your home, love, and guidance to a pet in need. Whether the situation is with a lost or found pet that needs temporary care until the owners are located, or a pet where all efforts have been exhausted and the pet will be vetted and placed for adoption, home fostering is an ideal way to keep a pet in a loving, home environment rather than in a shelter/kennel. All small dogs are kept in a home foster. If a foster home is not available, then boarding is utilized. Of course, preference is to have all our dogs in a home where safety, health and emotional needs are met. Foster parenting requires an approved foster home. An application may be filled out and submitted, and you will be contacted to setup a home visit. Acres of Love Animal Rescue will supply all food, and necessary items needed to care for any foster pet that is placed in your home!

Sponsor an Animal

Sponsoring a pet at Acres of Love Animal Rescue is an excellent way to support the financial needs for one (or more) animals.

You may choose your pet to sponsor, and your donation amount which will be used toward ongoing care. You will have your name associated with all care for your sponsored animal, and will receive updates on his/her progress, i.e., adoption interest, etc. for a particular pet. Sponsoring is a wonderful way to support our adoptable pets and not have to be hands-on with the animals. Donate to Acres of Love Animal Rescue

Acres of Love Animal Rescue depends solely on volunteers and donations to help homeless and abandoned animals find new homes - could you help us? Because we are a tax exempt 501c3 public charity, your donations are tax deductible. Thank you!

Material Donations

Items such as blankets, comforters, sheets, towels, wash cloths, hand towels, liquid laundry soap, cleaning solutions (Fabuloso - lavender and Simple Green), Vinegar (we use a lot of vinegar), Paper Towels, etc. are always needed. Dog houses, stainless steel watering buckets, tarps, bungee cords, and large/small electrical ties are in constant need.

Dog food is a constant need for the dogs - just can't get enough! Chess Club Cafe has offered to become a drop-off point for our animals. Dog food and/or cat food donations may be dropped off Wednesday - Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. While you're there, be sure to sit and enjoy a delicious dish - let them know how much we appreciate their support for our animals!

Leashes, body harnesses, collars, toys, dog bedding, dog crates, etc. are needed as well.

Volunteer

The greatest need is for all the animals to have quality one-on-one time every day with humans! If you would like to volunteer your time with the adoptable pets here at Acres of Love Animal Rescue, you are welcome and needed! Please see the Volunteer page for more information.
